Description
Incorporating South Africa’s top two travel destinations in the ‘Mother City’ – Cape Town - and the Kruger National Park (‘Kruger’), a 7,700 square mile wilderness and one of Africa’s most celebrated safari areas. Certainly this is a sublime, unhurried South African itinerary and one of our favourite package experiences.
The ‘Cape Town and Winelands’ region is considered one of the most breathtaking destinations in South Africa, if not the world. It comprises of one of the world’s great port cities, Cape Town - under the perennial guard of the sentinel of the Southern tip of Africa in Table Mountain towering behind - combined with the magical Cape winelands, encompassing the historical and scenic towns of Stellenbosch, Paarl, and Franschhoek (“the French Corner”).
The Kruger experience takes place in the (big game) southern sector, either on an 18,000 hectare private concession offering a truly wild African safari combined with very comfortable accommodations, alternatively in the exclusive Sabi Sand Game Reserve where fine dining and luxurious living is combined with superb game viewing across the Sabi and Sand Rivers.
Extra
The late Autumn and Winter months of mid-May through to late August should be avoided for this experience, with frontal weather systems extremely prevalent over the Western Cape at this time of year. This is a package itinerary. Children under the age of 12 years will need to be on a private safari vehicle with regards the bush experience.
